What we store on your device, and why

Last updated: 21 September 2026

Two kinds of thing are stored on your device when you use AI Cordon. The first kind is needed for the site to work at all — without it you cannot stay signed in, and we cannot remember that you asked us not to track you. The second kind measures how the site is used, and it loads only if you allow it.

Declining changes nothing about how AI Cordon works. Every page, the calculator, the dashboard and the API behave exactly the same either way; we do not make access depend on your answer.

Strictly necessary — no consent asked

These are exempt from consent under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, because without them the service you asked for cannot be delivered. They are listed here because you are still entitled to know they exist.

Analytics — only with your consent

Nothing below is requested, and no request is even sent to its provider, until you choose “Allow analytics”. If you decline, or if you have never answered, the code is not loaded. If you allow it and later change your mind, these cookies are deleted at the moment you withdraw.

Google Analytics is operated by Google LLC in the United States; Google states that it is certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Our own servers see only the page request itself.

Changing or withdrawing your answer

Use the Cookies link in the footer of any page. It reopens the bar, shows what you chose last time, and takes a new answer — withdrawing is exactly as easy as consenting, which is what Article 7(3) of the GDPR requires. Your browser's own settings also work, and block or delete cookies regardless of what we do.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a refusal and do not ask: an answer has already been given. You can still opt in from the footer link.

We ask again only when your recorded answer lapses, or when a new purpose appears that you have never been asked about. We do not re-ask on every visit.

What this page does not cover

Text you submit to the detector is not stored and is not used to train models — that belongs to the Privacy Policy, which also covers the account data you give us when you sign up. The dashboard at app.ai-cordon.comsets the same cookies described here and reads the same consent record.
